Seed Crystal Fondant

Seed Crystal Fondant (SCF) is a ready-made slurry for the initiation of sucrose crystallisation. In the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia & Eastern Europe, we represent the company who developed and produces SCF: Greenhills Technology Ltd. located in Ireland.

SCF consists of sugar-crystals precision milled down to a specific size and narrow particle size distribution, dispersed in different carrier systems:

SCF GA - our standard type with IPA

SCF NA - our Non-Alcoholic type

Greenhills' clean-room production facility, state of the art milling technique and strict quality control guarantee a seeding material (or slurry) with excellent particlesize distribution, good stability and low agglomerates.
 

 The organisation has the flexibility and expertise to generate tailor made solutions for the specific demands of sugar mills.

Certificates of analysis of particlesize distribution are supplied with each batch.

Safety

By choosing for SCF GA, the sugar mill can eliminate hazardous production of the classic slurry from the site. However, alcohol remains a hazardous component of SCF GA .

SCF NA contains No Alcohol, therefore handling is completely safe. SCF NA eliminates all hazards related to slurry (both in production and in handling). The Non-Alcoholic carrier system is very stable, ensures low number of agglomerates and answers to the d3-rule.

By choosing for SCF, labour in the sugar mill is reduced to rolling the material on a rolling bench to ensure a good dispersion of crystals prior to seeding.
