Kurt Brandenburger founded Brandenburger Isoliertechnik in 1939. In 1971 the present plant was established in Landau. In this plant the optimal conditions were created to develop and manufacture plastic machinery and composite materials.

Brandenburger has a leading position in the area of thermal insulation panels, but also expanded into other fields of expertise. Volume grew 10-fold within the last 15 years that required substantial investments. Processes and equipment for production of new products were almost exclusively developed in their own laboratories and build in their own shops.
